Why Pathside Counseling?

Creative Counseling is effective for people struggling with day to day issues. It is an excellent way to recover and heal from loss, stress, or trauma. Creative Counseling helps people to migrate crossroads in their life, handle relationship difficulties, and explore their thoughts and emotions in a beneficial way. Therapy can help people take responsibility for their behavior, develop new solutions to the problems they face, and develop a respect for themselves and others. When we learn to manage our thoughts, our feelings, and the way we live our lives are directly affected.

Does Pathside Counseling take Insurance?

At this time, Pathside Counseling does not accept insurance. Clients may be provided with a statement that can be submitted to their insurance company for reimbursement. If you wish to determine whether or not you have coverage, contact your insurance carrier and find the answers to the following questions:

  • What are my mental health benefits?

  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

  • How many therapy sessions does my plan cover?

  • How much does my insurance pay for an out-of-network provider?

  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

  • How do I go about submitting claims for therapy sessions?

Sliding Fees/
Reduced fee services are available on a limited basis. If a financial concern arises during the course of our work together, please feel free to discuss it with me.

Cancellation Policy?

If you cannot make your scheduled appointment, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance, to avoid the full fee being incurred.

Do I have to use the symbols and sand?

In short, no. You do not have to do anything but show up. Therapy begins with talking about what is going on. How each client chooses to work through problems or personal roadblocks is an individual choice.
